No matter how well we look after the animals in our care, nothing compares to the comfort and security of a real family! If you cannot adopt an animal at this time, you may want to consider giving one a temporary home.
The Foster Family program is essential to our shelter. Without the help of our volunteer families, our success rate would not be as impressive. Hundreds of adoptions are possible each year because of our foster families, who not only look after our little orphans and give them love and care, but also assist us in finding them the right home. With over 9,000 animals in our care each year, it would be impossible for us to provide each of them the medical attention and care they need. Foster families can offer them unconditional love, integrate them into their family life and give them the individual attention and structure they need while they await their forever homes.
Each year, more than 600 animals are placed in foster homes, freeing up much-needed space in our shelter. Our foster families are supported by the person responsible for this program and by our medical team.
